I dream of demons and you dream of me.
Neither of us can sleep.
I toss and turn at night;
Never giving into my terror's will,
But one day I may
Because I never get the chance to dream of you.
You tell me dreams come true
Because you have me.
But am I damned to be consumed
By evil spirits, who tear at my
Flesh in my dreams?
Truly, to sleep is not to sleep,
But is to dream to dream?
In the throws of consciousness I fought for you,
Wished and then you came.
But in my dreams I'm haunted all the same.
You'll never dwell there.
And I'm frightened for I know,
The realness of reality is
Twisted with the dreams we grow.
