Best Kept Secrets, Uncovered By Yours Truly (Sorry that was a joke, I'm really not that prideful. Someone else did the hard work and found this stuff out. I just thought I'd share with you all.)

Spring 2011 the strokes are coming out with their 4th album. They took a break from being a band for almost 4 years and have finally been working on their most recent album. All the members are stoked, emphasizing that it may be their best work yet. Could it be their last? Possibly, but for diehard fans like me, even one more song is enough.

New Album- Eisley in March ! They almost didn't make it due to lame contracting, but this beautiful beautiful beautiful group is putting their 3rd album up for grabs soon! You can download a song from the album- ambulance on their website today if you subscribe to their newsletter.

I forgot to mention...

Great ways to find out about new bands. Itunes can help only so far. Simple tricks. Your friends. If you're like me, your friends with people for a reason, you have similar tastes. Not necessarily in music, but chances are, they may have great insight. Nylon mag- always have tons and tons of new awesome artists. Free downloads- itunes, amazon, urban, magazine featured downloads--- the list seriously goes on and on. Its kinda fun to hunt for what could be your next favorite band also. Oh, and seeing who your favorite bands listen to.

  1. The amazing thing is that some of your new bands become my new bands, I know it gets tedious when I keep asking "who is this?" and it's the same band "Artic Monkey's" but moms bug.
